Although both are commonly used as fuel sources, LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) differ in composition, storage conditions, and applications. LPG is primarily composed of propane and butane and is stored as a liquid under moderate pressure at ambient temperature. It is widely used for industrial processes, commercial kitchens, residential heating, and manufacturing.
LNG, on the other hand, is primarily composed of methane and must be stored at cryogenic temperatures of approximately -162°C to remain in liquid form. It is commonly used for large-scale power generation, heavy industries, marine fuel, and long-distance natural gas transportation. Due to these differences, LPG and LNG require different storage systems, equipment, and safety considerations.
