Overview of LPG

What is LPG
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a clean, efficient, and versatile fuel commonly used for cooking, heating, industrial processes, and commercial applications. LPG is primarily made up of propane and butane gases, which are stored under pressure in liquid form for easy storage and transportation. When released from a cylinder or storage tank, the liquid converts into gas that can be used as fuel for a wide range of equipment and appliances. LPG is valued for its portability, reliability, high energy efficiency, and cleaner-burning properties compared to many traditional fuels.
Applications of LPG
LPG is a versatile energy source used across a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial applications. In homes, LPG is commonly used for cooking, water heating, and outdoor appliances because it provides fast, efficient, and controllable heat. In the food and hospitality industry, LPG powers commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels, cafes, bakeries, and street food operations that require reliable daily energy supply. LPG is also widely used in manufacturing and industrial environments for boilers, furnaces, burners, drying systems, metal cutting, and production processes that depend on consistent heat generation. In the agricultural sector, LPG can be used for crop drying, poultry farming, greenhouse heating, and other farming operations where dependable energy is essential.

As LPG is portable and easy to store, it is suitable for both urban and remote locations where stable energy access is important. We support these applications by providing reliable LPG supply, gas cylinders, storage systems, safety equipment, and professional gas solutions tailored to different operational needs.
Industry Usage
LPG is widely used in manufacturing, metal processing, heating systems, drying applications, boilers, burners, and other industrial processes that require stable and efficient heat generation. Many industries choose LPG because it is a clean-burning fuel that helps improve operational efficiency while reducing emissions and maintenance requirements. We offer support through gas system installation, cylinder and tank supply, pressure regulation systems, safety equipment, maintenance services, and technical consultation to ensure safe and efficient LPG operations. By delivering dependable supply and professional service, we help industrial customers maintain productivity and operational reliability.
Thailand's LPG Law and Regulation
Thailand’s LPG regulations establish safety requirements for the storage, installation, operation, and maintenance of LPG systems. The regulations cover areas such as storage capacity classifications, installation distances, fire protection systems, electrical safety, ventilation, hazardous areas, and inspection requirements for LPG cylinders, tanks, piping systems, and gas-use facilities. Different requirements apply depending on the quantity of LPG stored and the type of installation.

For larger industrial LPG systems, additional requirements may include engineering drawings, certified inspections, fire protection systems, gas leak alarms, and regulatory approvals. CECO can assist with LPG system design, equipment selection, installation, and compliance support based on applicable Thai regulations.

What is NH3 equipment used for?
NH3 equipment is used for handling and controlling ammonia gas (NH3) in industrial applications. Ammonia is commonly used in refrigeration systems, food processing plants, cold storage facilities, chemical manufacturing, and various industrial production processes. NH3 equipment includes pressure regulators, valves, safety devices, vaporizers, piping systems, and control equipment designed to safely manage ammonia from storage, transfer, through to operation. Properly designed NH3 systems help improve operational efficiency while maintaining safety and compliance with industrial standards.
What is an automatic changeover system?
An automatic changeover system is a gas supply control system designed to automatically switch from an empty LPG cylinder to a standby cylinder without interrupting the gas supply. It helps maintain continuous gas flow for industrial, commercial, and applications where a stable and continuous gas supply is important. The system typically includes regulators, valves, and monitoring components that ensure smooth and safe operation while reducing downtime caused by manual cylinder replacement.
How do I select the correct LPG or NH3 equipment for my application?
Selecting the correct LPG or NH3 equipment depends on the specific application, gas demand, operating conditions, and system design requirements. Important factors to consider include the type of gas being used, required flow rate, operating pressure, temperature conditions, installation environment, and safety requirements. Different applications may require different equipment such as vaporizers for stable gas supply, regulators for pressure control, automatic changeover systems for continuous operation, or safety valves and gas detectors for system protection. For industrial projects, equipment selection should also consider operational capacity, compliance with safety standards, and compatibility with existing systems to ensure efficient and reliable performance.

Quotation and Project Delivery

Information needed for Quotation
To provide an accurate quotation, we will require details such as the type of gas system or equipment needed, consumption requirements, installation location, project scope, and any relevant drawings or specifications. For industrial projects, information about operational capacity, existing systems, and site conditions may also be requested. Our team will review your requirements and recommend the most suitable solution for your application. The more information provided, the more accurately our specialist team can recommend the most suitable solution and qoutation for your project.
Project Delivery and Timeline
Project delivery timelines depend on the size, complexity, and scope of the project. Standard product deliveries may take only a few days, while complete gas system installations or engineering projects may require several weeks or months for design, fabrication, delivery, and installation. After reviewing your project requirements, our specialist team will provide an estimated timeline and keep you informed throughout each stage of the process.
